Decades of ineffective dieting have led employees to develop a difficult love-hate relationship with food that distracts them from living the vibrant, productive lives they crave. Research has proven that restrictive diets are not only ineffective, but contribute to disordered eating, weight cycling, and a disruptive “eat-repent- repeat” cycle. Three decades of research support the effectiveness of mindfulness training to improve many facets of physical and emotional well-being and is today considered a viable intervention for enhancing workplace performance.
During this interactive, entertaining session, Dr. Michelle May will turn the futile, old-fashioned diet paradigm on its head! Using humor and uncommon insight, she will introduce us to mindful eating, an ancient mindfulness practice with profound modern implications and applications. She will guide us to understanding how eating with intention and attention will lead employees to live their lives with greater intention and attention too.
